Volleyball Recap: Wekiva Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lyman, Wekiva was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Southeastern Prep Academy Falcons by a score of 3-1.

While Wekiva might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Southeastern Prep Academy scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 20-25, 25-23, 25-19.

Elyanna Sanchez paced Wekiva's offense, picking up seven kills. Sanchez got some help from Isabella Espada and her 14 assists.

The victory got Wekiva back to even at 3-3. As for Southeastern Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.

Coming up, Wekiva is taking a road trip to face off against International Community at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southeastern Prep Academy, they will head out to take on Altamonte Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
