Baker piles up the points against Rauner

Recap: Baker Bobcats vs. Rauner Wildcats

The Baker Bobcats's game last Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They really took it to Rauner for the full four quarters, racking up a 41-11 victory at home. This was payback for Baker, who suffered a 32-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Baker's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Serenity Curry, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Curry has scored at least 25% of Baker's points. Another player making a difference was Destiny Davis, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals.

Baker now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Rauner, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Baker's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Noble Street College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on December 11th. Noble Street College Prep is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Rauner, they will head out on the road to face off against Muchin College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
