Football Game Preview: Wardlaw Academy Patriots vs. King Academy Knights + How To Watch

The Wardlaw Academy Patriots will face off against the King Academy Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Wardlaw Academy put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They and Richard Winn Academy were almost perfectly matched up, but the Patriots suffered a 35-34 loss. The Patriots have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, King Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Laurens Academy 60-34. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won four games by 20 points or more so far this season.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Joseph Morse and Mason Cooper. Morse had a great game and rushed for 375 yards and five TDs while picking up 17.0 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Cooper was balling out in the loss, rushing for 98 yards and one touchdown, while also picking up 58 receiving yards.

Wardlaw Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for King Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
