Basketball Game Preview: Ravenna Ravens vs. Cloverleaf Colts

The Ravenna Ravens will venture away from home to challenge the Cloverleaf Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ravenna will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Ravenna beat Garfield 56-50.

Meanwhile, Cloverleaf was beaten by Highland 81-48 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 509th, while the Hornets are ranked 133rd).

Ravenna's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Cloverleaf, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

Ravenna didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Cloverleaf when the teams last played back in December of 2025, but they still walked away with a 58-54 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Colts' Isaac Smith, who posted 21 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Ravens still be able to contain Smith? There's only one way to find out.
