Starmount had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the East Surry Cardinals as they made off with a 9-2 win. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 4-3 victory the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2022.

Tristan Blevins tossed a big game, pitching 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

Starmount's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for East Surry, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 8-6 record.

Looking ahead, Starmount will take on Elkin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams are facing the Buckin' Elks at the right time seeing as the Buckin' Elks are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for East Surry, they will challenge North Wilkes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
