Basketball Recap: St. Louis Christian Academy Falls to Bowling Green in First Game of Season

St. Louis Christian Academy had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 40-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bowling Green Bobcats.

Sydney Charlton was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 13 boards for Bowling Green. That makes it three consecutive games in which Charlton has scored at least a third of Bowling Green's points. Another player making a difference was Avery Schumacher, who posted six points and three steals.

The win (which was Bowling Green's third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.

St. Louis Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bowling Green and Louisiana will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
