Softball Recap: Jerome Tigers vs. Filer Wildcats

It was a proper cat-fight when Jerome took on Filer on Tuesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 21-20. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (ten), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Jerome got a massive performance out of Ellie Helmer, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, four stolen bases, and five runs. Helmer is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Thompson, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.
