Soccer Game Preview: Myrtle Beach vs. James Island

The Myrtle Beach Seahawks will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the James Island Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Myrtle Beach saw some tournament action on Sunday. They fell just short of Berkeley by a score of 2-1. The loss was the Seahawks' first of the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Tia Boatwright, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for James Island, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand Summerville a 4-0 shutout on Sunday. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Green Wave: they've now won six in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Myrtle Beach fell to 2-1. As for James Island, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
