Baseball Recap: Bellevue Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Bellevue was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Juanita Ravens. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Ravens recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Ellis Oeltjen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Brody Gayte was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Bellevue's loss dropped their record down to 8-7-1. As for Juanita, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

Coming up, Bellevue will face off against Inglemoor at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolverines' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Juanita, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Mercer Island at 7:15 p.m.
