Coe-Brown Academy waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Somersworth Toppers. This was payback for the Bears, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Coe-Brown Academy who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 13-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-7.

Coe-Brown Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Somersworth, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Coe-Brown Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe St. Thomas Aquinas at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Somersworth will take on rival Winnisquam at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
