The Marion Eagles won the last time they faced the Mesick Bulldogs, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Marion sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-45 win over Mesick. The win made it back-to-back wins for Marion.

Mesick's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kayla McCoy, who scored 16 points along with nine assists and six rebounds, and Rylee Blach who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Blach has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Lagrow, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Mesick were working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Marion now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Mesick, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Marion will be playing in front of their home fans against Crossroads Charter Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crossroads Charter Academy's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Marion's offense will have their work cut out for them.
