Soccer Game Preview: Ontario vs. Bexley

The Ontario Warriors will face off against the Bexley Lions at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Ontario sitting on six straight victories and Bexley on three.

Ontario had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the 11-goal drubbing they dealt Highland on Wednesday. The Warriors blew past the Fighting Scots 12-1. Considering Ontario have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Highland from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Addi Pittman led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bexley). Their defense stepped up to hand Franklin Heights an 11-0 shutout on Monday. Give Bexley's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Bexley's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Ontario, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3-1.
