Football Recap: Flagler Extends Winning Streak to Three

Flagler lost to Genoa-Hugo back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Panthers managed a 30-25 win over the Pirates. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Dillon Brent threw for 69 yards on nine of 18 attempts. On the ground, Keegan Isenbart rushed for 176 yards and two TDs while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.

Although Genoa-Hugo took the loss, they still got scores from Spoke Carr, Isiah Yoder, and Tayler Thelen.

Flagler's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Genoa-Hugo, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flagler will take on Caliche at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Genoa-Hugo, they will square off against Idalia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves' defense has only allowed 13.7 points per game this season, so the Pirates' offense will have their work cut out for them.
