Basketball Recap: Copan Comes Up Short

Copan entered their game against Wesleyan Christian on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Copan Hornets were dealt an 89-32 defeat at the hands of the Wesleyan Christian Mustangs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-30 back in December of 2024.

Copan's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Wesleyan Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Copan has already played their next contest (against Barnsdall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wesleyan Christian has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Claremore Christian.
