Softball Recap: Sierra Vista Find Success

Sierra Vista was handed a six-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They skirted past the Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners 7-6. The victory continues a trend for the Mountain Lions in their matchups with the Roadrunners: they've now won four in a row.

Reagan Foglia made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Foglia was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Foglia wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Stazzlen Hagmoc-Billianor, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Zoe Logan was another, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Sierra Vista's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Southeast Career Tech, they moved to 6-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Sierra Vista will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Desert Oasis at 3:30 p.m. on March 24th. Southeast Career Tech also won't see the field for a while: their next contest is against Basic at 3:30 p.m. on March 26th.
