Despite the defeat, Elm Creek saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Keston Beavers rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 30 receiving yards.

Orme rushed for 179 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 8.5 yards per carry while Peterson rushed for 112 yards and three scores. Elm Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Deshler, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Elm Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Deshler, they are taking a road trip to challenge Central Valley at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. The Dragons will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
