Recap: Carlisle County Comets vs. Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado
The Carlisle County Comets lost to the Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado back in December of 2022, but the Carlisle County Comets didn't allow the Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado the same satisfaction on Friday. Carlisle County came out on top against Paducah Tilghman by a score of 59-49. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Carlisle County.
Leading Carlisle County to victory were Macee Hogancamp and Kiera Whitaker. Hogancamp dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Whitaker dropped a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Whitaker has scored at least 25% of Carlisle County's points. Another player making a difference was Jazz Smith, who scored 4 points along with 10 rebounds and 5 steals.
Carlisle County's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Paducah Tilghman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Carlisle County has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Mayfield at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. As for Paducah Tilghman, they will head out on the road to face off against Massac County at 7:45 p.m. on Monday.
