Baseball Game Preview: Harmony Grove Hornets vs. Crossett Eagles

The Harmony Grove Hornets will head out on the road to take on the Crossett Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Crossett will be up against a hot Harmony Grove squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Hornets blew past Hope 13-4 on Thursday. That nine-run margin sets a new team best for the Hornets this season.

Crossett not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 2nd (when they won 17-2). They put the hurt on Star City with a sharp 10-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

Crossett's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Harmony Grove, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Harmony Grove might still be hurting after the 40-26 loss they got from Crossett in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
