Softball Recap: Litchfield Takes a Loss

Litchfield lost against Pana back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Purple Panthers came up short against the Panthers, falling 13-1. The Purple Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Litchfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Laynie Wyatt, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Litchfield's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Pana, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10-1 record this season.

Litchfield will challenge Hillsboro at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Purple Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hiltoppers have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Pana, they will take on Vandalia at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
