Softball Recap: Nash Central Comes Up Short

Nash Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 16-5 to the Franklinton Red Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

SAVANNAH PHILLIPS made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Nash Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Franklinton, their record now sits at 7-5.

Looking ahead, Nash Central will challenge Smithfield-Selma at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Franklinton, they will face off against Bunn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 12.2 runs per game this season.
