Baseball Game Preview: Warren Warriors vs. West Orange-Stark Mustangs

The Warren Warriors will be taking part in a tournament against the West Orange-Stark Mustangs at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Warren is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Warren turned things around against Port Arthur Memorial on Friday. They came out on top against the Titans by a score of 5-2.

Warren's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Parker Brocato, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was Brocato's first of the season. Another was Cole West, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, West Orange-Stark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 16-1 to Hemphill.

West Orange-Stark's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-1. As for Warren, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

West Orange-Stark's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Saturday. Warren has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for West Orange-Stark, though, as they've been averaging only 3.2 strikeouts. Will Warren keep running through batters, or will West Orange-Stark buck the trend?
