Football Recap: Castaic Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Castaic kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 23-7 bruising from the Adelanto Saints. The Coyotes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Adelanto's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Devin Smith, who picked up 113 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Maddox Cash handled things on the ground, rushing for 80 yards.

Castaic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 47-6 loss against Calabasas on the 28th. As for Adelanto, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-6 defeat against Burroughs on the 29th.
