Basketball Recap: Wayne Comes Up Short

If Wayne was feeling good fresh off their 66-27 takedown of Melcher-Dallas last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wayne Falcons had to suffer through a 47-20 loss at the hands of the Martensdale-St. Mary's Blue Devils. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Wayne dropped their record down to 8-14 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Martensdale-St. Mary's, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

Wayne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Martensdale-St. Mary's, they will head out to take on Earlham on Thursday.
