Soccer Game Preview: Fenton vs. Elmwood Park + How To Watch

The Fenton Bison will face off against the Elmwood Park Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Fenton will be strutting in after a win while Elmwood Park will be coming in after a loss.

Fenton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past North Grand 2-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Fenton's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while North Grand are ranked 289th).

Nazar Prokulevich and Joshua Galeana scored both of Fenton's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Meanwhile, Elmwood Park was not able to break out of their rough patch last Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to South Elgin.

Fenton's win bumped their record up to 10-4-5. As for Elmwood Park, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12-1.

Everything went Fenton's way against Elmwood Park in their previous matchup back in September, as Fenton made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
