Basketball Recap: American Fork Takes a Loss

American Fork lost a heartbreaker to Lehi when they met back in January of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Friday. The American Fork Cavemen fell 62-52 to the Lehi Pioneers. The Cavemen have struggled against the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Lehi got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ellie Hill out in front who went 6 for 14 on her way to 19 points and eight rebounds. Mckenzie Jepson was another key player, putting up 12 points and five rebounds.

American Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Lehi, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

American Fork will face off against Pleasant Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lehi, they will take on Westlake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
