After a string of eight wins, Johnston's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 10-3 to the Valley Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Dragons have suffered since June 2nd.

Johnston's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnston will head out to challenge Waukee at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Dragons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Valley, they will venture away from home to square off against Northwest at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 3.1, the Wolves 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
