Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask First Assembly Christian). They came out on top against the PURE Academy Royals by a score of 80-72 on Saturday. The win was some much needed relief for the Crusaders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

First Assembly Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was EDDIE SUMMERALL, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. ERIC BLOUNT JR. was another key player, shooting 43% from the field on his way to 21 points.

First Assembly Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

First Assembly Christian's record is now 2-3. As for PURE Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, First Assembly Christian will welcome Munford at 6:00 p.m. on December 8. As for PURE Academy, they will challenge Riverside at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
