Basketball Game Preview: New Castle Hurricanes vs. Butler Golden Tornado

The New Castle Hurricanes and the Butler Golden Tornado will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. New Castle will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

On Monday, New Castle beat Woodland Hills 51-41. The 51-point effort marked the Hurricanes' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Butler, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against North Hills by a score of 66-53 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Tornado in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

New Castle's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Butler, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything went New Castle's way against Butler in their previous matchup back in February, as New Castle made off with a 64-43 victory. Do the Hurricanes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Tornado turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
