Basketball Recap: Vanguard Academy Mozart Comes Up Short

Vanguard Academy Mozart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 32-22 to IDEA Pharr. Vanguard Academy Mozart was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced IDEA Pharr earlier this season, when they won 50-47.

Despite the loss, Vanguard Academy Mozart still got an impressive performance from Daniel Fujarte, who posted nine points.

Vanguard Academy Mozart's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for IDEA Pharr, the win snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 2-8 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vanguard Academy Mozart will venture away from home to take on IDEA North Mission at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for IDEA Pharr, they are taking a road trip to square off against Monte Alto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Monte Alto is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59 points per game this season.
