Soccer Game Preview: Cleburne vs. Mansfield Summit

The Cleburne Yellowjackets will head out to square off against the Mansfield Summit Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Cleburne is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to seven goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Everman on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 561st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 199th).

Meanwhile, Mansfield Summit hasn't lost a match since February 14th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They never let Mansfield Timberview get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Considering the Jaguars have won seven games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mansfield Summit is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those ten contests. Cleburne dropped their record down to 5-9-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
