Basketball Game Preview: Cattaraugus-Little Valley Timberwolves vs. Cassadaga Valley Cougars

The Cattaraugus-Little Valley Timberwolves and the Cassadaga Valley Cougars will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cattaraugus-Little Valley will be strutting in after a win while Cassadaga Valley will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row dating back to last season, Cattaraugus-Little Valley turned things around against West Valley Central on Monday. They blew past the Wildcats 54-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Timberwolves have posted since January 25th.

Meanwhile, Cassadaga Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 39-27 to Ellicottville.

Cattaraugus-Little Valley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Cassadaga Valley, they now have a losing record at 0-1.

Cattaraugus-Little Valley was dealt a bruising 53-21 defeat at the hands of Cassadaga Valley when the teams last played back in January of 2023. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Cattaraugus-Little Valley was down 34-14.
