Heppner won the last time they faced Kennedy and things went their way on Saturday too. The Heppner Mustangs put the hurt on the Kennedy Trojans with a sharp 57-34 victory. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

Heppner is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Kennedy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heppner and Dufur will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Heppner is facing Dufur at the right time seeing as Dufur is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Kennedy, they will challenge Umpqua Valley Christian at 2:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
