Basketball Recap: Henry County Wins Going Away Against Kenwood

Henry County won the last time they faced Kenwood and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Henry County Patriots took down the Kenwood Knights 56-39.

Despite the defeat, Kenwood saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sy?Nya Seay posted 16 points. That's the most points Seay has posted since back in February of 2024. Zakiya White was another key player, putting up eight points.

Henry County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Kenwood, they dropped their record down to 5-14 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Henry County will square off against Dickson County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dickson County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Henry County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kenwood, they will head out to square off against West Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kenwood is facing West Creek at the right time seeing as West Creek is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
