Volleyball Recap: Kouts Takes a Loss

Kouts dropped their record down to 11-7 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Crown Point Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The Mustangs & Fillies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Crown Point can attribute much of their success to Cole Gibbs, who had 11 digs and two assists. Those 11 digs gave Gibbs a new career-high.

Looking ahead, Kouts will head out to square off against Lake Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Mustangs & Fillies surely won't give up without a fight. As for Crown Point, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Michigan City on the 8th.
