Recap: Franklin Academy Huskies vs. Massena Raiders

The Franklin Academy Huskies and the Massena Raiders squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but sadly the Franklin Academy Huskies had to settle for second. They took a 68-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ian Mulverhill, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Osborn, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.

It was another big night for Colin Patterson, who scored 36 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks for Massena. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Patterson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Mitchell, who scored 16 points along with two steals.

Franklin Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Massena, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.

Franklin Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Massena will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Harrisville at 7:45 p.m. on February 27th. Harrisville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
