Basketball Recap: Itawamba Agricultural Takes a Loss

After flying high against Shannon last Wednesday, Itawamba Agricultural came back down to earth. The Itawamba Agricultural Indians were dealt a 73-34 defeat at the hands of the Tishomingo County Braves on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Braves are ranked eighth).

Itawamba Agricultural's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Tishomingo County, their victory was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Itawamba Agricultural will welcome Northeast Lauderdale at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tishomingo County, they will be playing at home against Leake Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
