Softball Recap: Tolsia Comes Up Short

Tolsia dropped their record down to 11-11 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 7-0 to the Tug Valley Panthers. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Rebels' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Tug Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. The result was nothing new for Tug Valley, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.

For Tug Valley's part, Bailee Hall was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. With that strong performance, Hall is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Emma Lackey was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run. Katie Hall was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Tolsia has already played their next game, a 7-0 win against Van on the 6th. Tug Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
