Basketball Recap: Kenston Takes a Loss

After flying high against South last Friday, Kenston came back down to earth. The Kenston Bombers fell to the Aurora Greenmen 46-42. While the Bombers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Greenmen 16-8 in the first quarter.

When it comes to explaining why Kenston lost on Tuesday, don't look at Eli Ellis. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 9 en route to 14 points along with seven assists and five boards. Another player making a difference was Luke Stupica, who posted four points and five rebounds.

Kenston has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Aurora, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.

Kenston will venture away from home to challenge Mayfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mayfield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.3 points per game this season. Aurora has already played their next match (against Barberton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
