Football Recap: East Stroudsburg North Comes Up Short

East Stroudsburg North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 19-7 to the Louis E. Dieruff Huskies. The Timberwolves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Huskies from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Wayne King threw for 92 yards and one touchdown. Kendrick Sympson was his top target, picking up 49 receiving yards and one TD.

East Stroudsburg North's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Louis E. Dieruff, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

East Stroudsburg North and Louis E. Dieruff could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Timberwolves will take on Pocono Mountain West at 7:10 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (481 vs. 228). Meanwhile, Louis E. Dieruff (ranked 417th) will meet Liberty (ranked 69th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
