Basketball Recap: New Lisbon Comes Up Short

New Lisbon lost against Royall back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The New Lisbon Rockets were beaten by the Royall Panthers 74-41. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 441st, while the Panthers are ranked 103rd).

New Lisbon's defeat was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Royall, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.

New Lisbon has already played their next contest, a 76-42 loss against Westfield Area on the 3rd. As for Royall, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 73-50 win against Blair-Taylor on the 1st.
