Volleyball Recap: Meeker Takes a Loss

Meeker lost against Gunnison back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Meeker Cowboys fell 2-0 to the Gunnison Cowboys. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Meeker hasn't been shut out since back in August.

Ruthie Lock was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 11 digs.

This is the second loss in a row for Meeker and nudges their season record down to 16-5. As for Gunnison, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-2.

Meeker didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Salida on the 2nd. Gunnison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
