Softball Preview: Petersburg Buffaloes vs. Borden County Coyotes
Petersburg has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Borden County Coyotes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Petersburg knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy run totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Borden County likes a good challenge.
In what's become a running theme this season, Petersburg gave their fans yet another huge victory last Tuesday. They blew past Jayton 22-10.
Bailey Norris and Kynlee Ovalle did most of the damage at the plate: Norris got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI, while Ovalle scored three runs and stole five bases while going 3-for-4.
