Volleyball Recap: Bastrop Bears vs. McCallum Knights
Bastrop took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against McCallum, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bears skirted past the Knights 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bears have posted since August 29th.
Bastrop wouldn't go down easily and took McCallum into a fifth set where they got it done with a ten-point win. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 27-25, 25-23, 20-25, 15-5.
Elizabeth Peables and Kafia Jackson-Woods certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Peables had six aces and three digs, while Jackson-Woods had eight kills and seven digs. Jackson-Woods is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last seven games she's played.
