Soccer Recap: Research Triangle Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Research Triangle's offense. They came up short against the Raleigh Charter Phoenix on Wednesday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Research Triangle can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 325th, while Raleigh Charter are ranked 100th).

This is the second loss in a row for Research Triangle and nudges their season record down to 1-4-1. As for Raleigh Charter, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Research Triangle has already played their next game, a 6-0 defeat against East Wake Academy on the 21st. As for Raleigh Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Wake Prep Academy on the 24th.
