Baseball Recap: Pine Lake Prep's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

Pine Lake Prep and Burns squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Pine Lake Prep had to settle for second. They lost 9-0 to the Bulldogs. The match marked the first time this season in which the Pride were not able to get on the board.

With the loss, Pine Lake Prep broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-6. As for Burns, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

Pine Lake Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Burns, they will challenge Lincoln Charter on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 1.8, the Eagles 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
