Basketball Game Preview: Anoka Tornadoes vs. Robbinsdale Armstrong Falcons

Anoka hasn't had much luck against Robbinsdale Armstrong recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Anoka Tornadoes will challenge the Robbinsdale Armstrong Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Anoka knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 contests -- so hopefully Robbinsdale Armstrong likes a good challenge.

Anoka is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Minnesota's top teams: Totino-Grace, who was ranked 16th at the time (Anoka was ranked 21st). Anoka took an 88-77 hit to the loss column at the hands of Totino-Grace on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Robbinsdale Armstrong entered their tilt with Andover on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 72-65.

Anoka's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3. As for Robbinsdale Armstrong, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11.

Anoka didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Robbinsdale Armstrong when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 65-60 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Anoka since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
