Basketball Recap: Rochester Zebras vs. Whitko Wildcats
Rochester has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a hard 49-35 fall against the Whitko Wildcats on Saturday. The Zebras were probably out for revenge after losing 46-41 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Zebras players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brailyn Hunter, who posted five points and six rebounds. What's more, Hunter also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Jadyn Field was another key player, putting up seven points and six rebounds.
It was another big night for Reese Stonebraker, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 18 points and six rebounds for Whitko. Another player making a difference was Anna Allebach, who had eight points and five rebounds.
Rochester's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Whitko, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Rochester will host Logansport at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Whitko, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Whitko Wildcats take on the Lakewood Park Christian Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
