Preview: Baptist Hill Bobcats vs. Cross Trojans
Baptist Hill is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Cross is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Baptist Hill Bobcats will take on the Cross Trojans at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Baptist Hill has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 357 points over their last five matchups.
On Wednesday, Baptist Hill didn't have too much trouble with Palmetto Scholars Academy on the road as they won 66-47.
Rickey Middleton Jr was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Middleton Jr is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Justin Porter was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Meanwhile, even though Military Magnet Academy scored an imposing 57 points on Monday, Cross still came out on top. Cross managed a 62-57 victory over Military Magnet Academy.
Cross found their leader in underclassman Caden Ramsey, who scored 27 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Ramsey is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamez Way, who scored 11 points along with nine assists and four steals.
Baptist Hill is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for Cross, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.
Baptist Hill came up short against Cross in their previous meeting on January 10th, falling 58-51. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Ramsey, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
