The Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy Tigers will take on the Central Wildcats in a tournament on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Everything went their way against Jefferson RISE Charter as they made off with a 17-1 win.

Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy got a massive performance out of Eden Randall, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. What's more, Randall posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Adeline Alcantar was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .792. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Central got themselves on the board against Slidell on Thursday, but Slidell never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 10-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Central's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
