With a playoff win on the line, Altamont rose to the challenge on Saturday. They skirted past the Millard Eagles 10-9. The Longhorns have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.
Kiley Crapo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Crapo was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Lacie Long and Hazlie Bagley did most of the damage at the plate: Long went 1-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Bagley went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Hadley Mecham was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Altamont pushed their record up to 20-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Millard, they now have a losing record of 12-13.
